Mango Nails
Check out ma nails, y'all! :D
Was waiting for S after work at Senayan City, and found out that Mango was having a "Women On Top" mall roadshow, in which they open registrations for those who wish to enroll themselves or someone they know who are considered inspiring and gives positive influence towards others, to be selected as Mango's ultimate definition of woman of top and win a...errr...Mazda car! Together with this event, those who purchased any items at Mango was entitled free nail art...yayyyyy! This was my first time getting my nails done professionally, and it actually felt good hahah...

Sam: I think I love you.
Quinn: Oh my God...are you proposing? We've known each other for 6 weeks. Stand up, you're freaking me out.
Sam: I want to marry you...someday. Until then, will you accept this promise ring?
Quinn: What are you..six?
Sam: If you accept, this ring will symbolize my promise to you...to be true, to never pressure you to do anything more than kiss. To listen to your problems, to tell you when you have food in your teeth..or eye gunk. To come over to your house whenever you need something super heavy moved around. I promise to make you feel proud when you point down the hall and say, "that dudes my boyfriend".

Kebaya & Mangga Kweni
This is something to be really appreciated...and attempt of sustaining our culture and package it into something modern...a kebaya-shirt? Who would've thought...:)
Btw, I'm always amazed by how creative Mizone is...the idea of what they did in this video below is brilliant! :)

Party In The USA
I really enjoy studying, and I hope one day I'll be able to pursue a Ph.D degree together with S...perhaps in America? Amiiiiin insya Allah...:)
S and I were actually classmates during our Postgraduate study, and there's just something about us that "clicks" when studying, discussing, debating and doing assignments together...perhaps that's how we fell in love hehehe...;p
Anyway, just wanted to let you guys know that if you happen to be keen on studying abroad specifically in USA, you should attend ACCESS America Higher Education Fair...an event that provides comprehensive counsel in identifying, preparing and successfully enrolling us in universities in USA. I really really don't know how to smile naturally in pictures...it's funny how I often practice my smiling pose with S...it's a lifetime-work in progress! I just become nervous in front of cameras then somehow my lips become weird...:D
Anyway, I'd still love to try my luck in this Pepsodent White Now Starlet Search competition...winners get the chance to be on the cover of Cosmopolitan, Elle and Female magazine...ha!

Acknowledging The Necessary
It's always interesting to bring up a topic about piracy in the context of women and fashion. Unlike guys who are more straightforward admitting that they buy pirated goods just for the sake of a cheaper price, women seem to have a more complex reasoning in their purpose and justifications.
Talking about buying pirated goods is not always about "I can afford" or "I can't afford". It's not always about the finance. It's about the thinking behind it. When I buy a fake good, I openly tell people that it's fake, and bought it just for fun because it was too cute and too cheap to simply miss. As wrong as this is, at least I don't run away from the fact that it was wrong. I admitted it. However, there are many people out there who buy fake goods and pretend that they're not. They act all expensive and classy and think that they're NOT wrong. It's like saying "this isn't red" while in fact everybody knows it's red and you yourself know as well.
It leads to a nowhere-point when we debate on "but you're rich and you can afford while I can't but i want to look just as stylish". It's not a matter of social status, economy class or the action itself, but a simple thought & act of taking responsibility. The richest people can buy fake goods after all. But then what would matter is how they respond and take responsibility of their actions; to admit or to fake it.
Be 100% original inside and outside, peeps. But it's always more important to start from the inside...:)

Ice Cream Pop-Ups
I love love love Magnum ice cream. In fact, my family is a HUGE fan of Magnum.
There was this one time when I said to S, "you know, Magnum's Belgian chocolate is so good, they should actually just open an ice cream restaurant and serve Magnum-based desserts". And guess what? THEY DID! Ha!!
Today was the opening of Magnum Cafe at Grand Indonesia, 5th floor, and I got invited to experience the whole new Magnum concept. The place was gorgeous. And cozy. And nice. They had waffles, desserts, small bites and even drinks made out of Magnum ice cream. YUM.
This place is brilliant. And good. It's a pop-up cafe though, meaning it's not permanent, and will only be present for 3 months. You guys better try while it's there! :)
